Fishers Business Signs
Fishers is a city located right smack dab in the center of the present-day state of Indiana. Prior to meddling by citizens of the United States, this area was inhabited by the Delaware peoples. In 1818, however, the Treaty of St. Mary’s forced the Delaware to give up their claims to Indiana and Ohio. Prior to this event, in 1802, William Conner settled in what would eventually become Fishers, Indiana, building a log cabin and a trading post. Fishers, Indiana was officially incorporated into a town in 1891, but it wouldn’t be until all the way until 2015 when it would be officially incorporated into a city.
